Redasoft Announces Provisional Patent for new Hybrid Desktop-Web Browser Software Architecture.
Toronto, ON November 6, 2003-- Redasoft today announced that the company had filed a provisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office prior to releasing its Visual Cloning 3 software for sale. The patent application describes a new software architecture for a hybrid desktop-web browser client application.
"The software architecture described in the patent application is a very important part of Visual Cloning and distinguishes it from all other bioinformatics tools on the market," said Danny Reda, Redasoft's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We chose to protect this key technology because we knew it would represent a significant competitive advantage for Redasoft and we were right - Visual Cloning's intuitive user interface and seamless integration of local and online data and resources are consistently highlighted as its most important distinguishing characteristics."
Two important benefits to software applications implementing this invention are increased ease of use and seamless integration of local and online resources. These benefits are enabled firstly by the use of a single main application window to display all information and process all user interaction with the software, and secondly by facilitating the replacement of standard client interface windows with HTML documents. The familiarity of the Web browsing metaphor, combined with the consistency of using HTML documents for both local and remote data and resources is a powerful combination in this regard.
Redasoft Visual Cloning is the complete software solution for life science research that helps researchers get organized, communicate better, work more confidently, and be more productive.
